FULL BIO

I am the Co-Founder of The Madrona Group and an Office Owner and Managing Broker with John L. Scott, leading multiple offices serving Ballard, West Seattle, Westwood, Bothell, Mukilteo, and Vashon Island. With 14 years of experience in real estate, I bring a deep understanding of the Puget Sound market and a steady, relationship-focused approach to every client interaction.

As a licensed Managing Broker in Washington and a REALTOR®, I back my guidance with professional standards and strong industry knowledge. I hold John L. Scott certifications as a Certified Buyer Representation Specialist®, Certified Seller Marketing Specialist®, and Certified Open House Specialist®, which means my clients benefit from proven systems for buying, selling, and marketing homes in any market condition.

My business is built on long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions. I focus on staying in touch, providing honest advice, and supporting clients through every stage of their real estate journey. Whether someone is buying their first home, moving up, relocating, or investing, I work to make the process clear, strategic, and as stress-free as possible.

I grew up in the Puget Sound area, raised by parents from small-town Kansas. Summers were spent helping out on my grandparents’ farm and at their gas station, where I learned the value of hard work, respect, and honesty. From an early age, my family taught me that your word is the most important thing you have to offer anyone, and I strive to follow that principle every day in both my personal life and my business.

Like many people, I fell into my sales career almost by accident. I started in the car business right after high school as a way to help pay for college. I excelled at the customer service side of the business—helping people find the vehicle that truly fit their needs—and quickly gravitated toward the operational side, learning the details of solidifying loans and navigating the finance process. After several years in the car business, I moved to the financial side of the industry, managing dealer accounts and strengthening relationships on their behalf.

From there, I transitioned into consulting for home installation because I realized I valued the relationships I built with clients more than those with a corporation. I sold high-end window systems, roofing, and panel wall systems for both existing homes and custom new construction. I thrived in the one-on-one advisory role, and many clients and colleagues encouraged me to take the next step into real estate.

These experiences sharpened my ability to listen carefully, present clear options, structure win-win deals, and follow through from the first conversation to the final signature. Today, my clients benefit from that background every time we discuss pricing strategies, offers, counteroffers, and long-term investment considerations.

In real estate, I’ve specialized in a wide range of property types and client needs, including luxury homes, new construction, relocation, investment properties, first-time buyers, listings-heavy work, buy/sell coordination, and condos. My strengths include strong negotiation, clear and responsive communication, and problem-solving through complex transactions. I’ve often been told that I’ve “never met a stranger,” and my friends jokingly call me “The Mayor” because it seems like everywhere I go, I either bump into someone I know or make a new connection. That sense of ease, comfort, and trust with others has been the backbone of my career—I’ve never viewed myself as a salesman, but as an advisor and partner.

Growing up, I watched my dad model this same approach as a local small business owner in the insurance industry. He would stop by to visit his customers, stay connected to the major events in their lives, and show up for them as both a professional and a friend. He focused on building lifetime relationships rather than chasing sales and numbers. My desire is the same: to build lifelong relationships with my clients by helping them navigate their real estate needs with care and confidence.

My primary focus market includes Edmonds and Mukilteo, two vibrant waterfront communities with a strong sense of place and lifestyle. Locals and visitors alike enjoy spending time at Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, taking in the views, walking the beach, and gathering around the fire pits. The historic Mukilteo Lightstation and Gift Shop offers a glimpse into the area’s maritime history, while the Edmonds Fishing Pier at Olympic Beach provides year-round access to the water and a front-row seat to ferries, marine life, and sunsets over Puget Sound.

The local dining scene is another highlight of the Edmonds/Mukilteo area. I often recommend Bar Dojo in Edmonds for its creative menu and welcoming atmosphere. Diamond Knot Brewery & Alehouse in Mukilteo is a longtime favorite right on the waterfront, and The Hook Seafood Broiler and Bistro 76 Café in Edmonds are also great choices for meeting friends, clients, or family over a good meal.

Beyond day-to-day real estate work, I’m proud to be involved in the communities I serve. Over the years, I’ve supported local charities and nonprofits, school and youth programs, Chambers of Commerce, and various volunteer organizations. I believe real estate is about more than buying and selling homes—it’s about investing in the neighborhoods, schools, and small businesses that make each community unique.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors—taking in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, exploring local trails, or getting out on the water. I’m also drawn to arts and music, love to travel, and enjoy participating in community events that bring people together. At home, pets are part of the family, and they’re always considered when we talk about the right home and neighborhood fit.

As the Co-Founder of The Madrona Group, an Office Owner, and a Managing Broker, I’m committed to supporting both clients and brokers with a high level of professionalism, collaboration, and care. I work to create an environment where our team can deliver consistent, high-quality service—whether someone is buying their first condo, selling a long-time family home, or building a portfolio of investment properties.
